OccuCom^® (formally Calfornia Health Consultants) was established in 1991 to develop an ergonomics approach to injury and illness prevention in the workplace. This approach is based on an open-systems or holistic model for solving the simplest to the most complex work environment needs of your company. It is now well-documented in both the scientific and business communities that both good ergonomics, and comprehensive health promotion, make good economics. Our goal is to assist companies who want to save resources by investing in a healthier workplace rather than divesting them into health care costs. OccuCom^® has helped clients from both private and public businesses in manufacturing, office and healthcare environments.

Chuck Sherrod is the Founder, President and CEO of OccuCom, Inc. He started his career as a Doctor of Chiropractic and, after 12 years of providing the best possible after-injury care, had a vision to create a company to prevent injury and illness in the workplace. He completed his Masters Degree in Public Health Education at San Jose State University. Board-Certified as an Industrial Ergonomist with the Oxford Research Institute, he now runs OccuCom^®.

OccuCom’s^® program developers and advisory board members include experts on the fields of medicine, epidemiology, rehabilitation, exercise physiology, and applied ergonomics.
