The
OccuCom® system utilizes the following four-phased,
approach:
- Phase I: Getting The Facts - Involves the surveillance
and investigation of workers and employers regarding their
injury and illness trends.
- Phase
II: Analysis Of The Data/Finding the Solution - The
gathered data is analyzed and prioritized in terms of the
risk level, as well as report with reasonable recommendation
for action.
- Phase
III: Implementation of Fixes or Interventions - Involves
the actual implementation of the recommended action items
with project timelines.
- Phase
IV: Evaluate The Results - Lastly, is to reevaluate
or measure the program results and the tracking of outcomes
to determine it’s effectiveness.
Essentially, the core elements of this approach are driven
by the OccuCom® occupational health and safety
communication surveillance and training system (OccuCom System).
The system components, were researched and designed to assure
maximum participation for the employees, managers (i.e., health
and safety, facilities, IT, etc.), associated health service
and health promotion providers and, ergonomists in order to
get your company’s ergonomics program up and running.

at OccuCom® stand firm with the fact that injuries
are very predictable, follow the same principles of prevention
as infectious disease and, therefore, are quite preventable
in the workplaces of America.
